Some of our divorce work is done on a fixed fee basis, as follows:

Divorce – £960 plus a court fee of £593

Separation Agreements (agreements between parties who are separating but do not yet wish to divorce) – £840

Agreed Financial Resolution (i.e. where you and your spouse have agreed how to separate your finances and want this recorded in a court order) – £960 plus a court fee of £53

(Please note that in exceptional cases we may need to charge more than the amounts above. Examples are where we have difficulties in serving court documents on your spouse, or where your financial circumstances are very complex. We will always discuss any fee increase with you first).

There are two areas where we cannot be so precise about our fees:

Pre-Nuptial Agreements, which cost between £840 and £2,400 depending upon the complexity of the agreement, which is in itself determined by your personal circumstances. We will discuss this with you at our initial meeting.

Disputed Financial Resolution, where neither of you can agree on a financial settlement, will usually cost around £6000 but in complicated cases can cost over £10,000. We advise that you factor on paying for one hour’s work for each month that the case runs. You also need to bear in mind that there will be a court fee of £275 payable and that you will need to instruct a barrister for each hearing. Their fees will range from around £1500 for a simple hearing to over £3000 for a complex or final one. Again, we will discuss this with you before incurring any fee.
