Richard has been a lawyer since September 1990. In the intervening years he has worked in various locations across the country before finally settling in Beaconsfield. Richard deals with all forms of litigation and contract work. He was the solicitor in the case of Lippiatt and Febry v South Gloucestershire County Council, where it was held that landowners are liable for damage caused by travellers who camp illegally upon their land and he has a particular interest in the fields of media and equine law.
Richard was the first solicitor member of the Committee on Publication Ethics, which is the equivalent of the Press Complaints Commission for academic journals.
Away from the office, Richard is married to another lawyer and has a young son. He is an avid cricketer and secretary of the Law Society Cricket Club. He is also a writer whose work can be found in various magazines and websites across the world.
